| Mayanot Institute of Jewish
Studies is an accredited school for higher
learning.
Full time Mayanot students are eligible
to receive up to 20 credits per semester
and 40 credits per academic year. Students
will be eligible to receive a Bachelor of
Arts (BA) after 2 full academic years at
Mayanot in addition to two semesters of
general studies from another university*.
The accreditation is in conjunction with
the Michigan
Jewish Institute's Study Abroad program
which is accredited to award Associate and
Bachelor degrees and certificates by the
Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges
and Schools (ACICS). ACICS is listed as
a nationally recognized accrediting agency
by the United States Department of Education.
Its accreditation of degree-granting institutions
is also recognized by the Council for Higher
Education Accreditation.
Although Mayanot's credits have been accepted
by many prominent universities, students
who wish to obtain credit for their courses
at Mayanot are advised to consult with their
schools Admissions Office to arrange the
transfer of credits in advance.
Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies is an
accredited institution of MASA, a joint
project of the Jewish Agency and the government
of Israel.
