| Because of our strong commitment
to serious students who seek a quality Judaic
Studies program, we do all we can to ensure
that lack of finances is not an obstacle to
your coming to study at Mayanot. As such,
Mayanot offers various scholarships and partial
airfare grants to students who qualify for
financial aid.
Once you have completed an application
and have been accepted to Mayanot you will
be asked to complete a Financial Aid application.
Our Financial Aid office will discuss the
various scholarship opportunities with you
to determine which is best for you.
The following are some of the scholarships
and grants that are currently available:
$500 Rohr Grant
1. The grant request must be submitted by a rabbi (not necessarily Chabad) to preisler@mayanot.edu .
2. The student must plan to attend for at least a semester.
3. It must be the student's first yeshiva experience and first time at Mayanot.
4. Grant requests must be made before arrival at Mayanot.
5. Submitted requests are considered pending until they receive approval by either R' Moss or R' Levinger.
Jewish Federation
Before applying for financial aid please
contact your local
Jewish Federation and apply for any
grants they have available for Israel study
programs. Documentation from the Federation
of your application and grant approval or
rejection must be provided to our office
prior to being accepted on any scholarships.
MASA
MASA, a joint project of the Jewish Agency
and the government of Israel, provides grants
and scholarships to enable young Jewish
adults to study at Mayanot.
Taglit-Birthright Israel
Alumni Grant
To qualify for the Taglit-Birthright Israel
Alumni grant you must have completed a Taglit-Birthright
Israel trip.
Jewish Metro Grant
To qualify for the Jewish Metro grant you
must live or study in one of the following
cities: Boston, Johannesburg, London, Los
Angeles, Miami, Melbourne, New York or Toronto.
Israel Program Bridge
Grant
To qualify for Israel Program Bridge grant
you must be transferring to Mayanot from
another program in Israel excluding Taglit-Birthright
Israel.
Airfare Grant
Airfare grants of $400 may be available
to those who are coming to Israel to study
for the first time. |
