The Harkham Scholarship
The Harkham Scholarship enables students with
financial need to participate in an invaluable
educational experience at the Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies.
The Scholarships were established by Mr. Uri Harkham
of Los Angeles, who out of a desire to inform the next generation
of Jewish community leaders, dedicated resources to the
continuation of their Jewish education at Mayanot. These
students from around the world are given the opportunity to
explore their religion, their people and their
history.
Grants are administered through the Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies,
which selects applicants based on merits of academic excellence,
life achievements and financial need in order to ensure that the maximum
number of educated, energetic and motivated Jewish
youth aged 19 to 28 can benefit from this edifying
exploration.
Academic scholarships are available to students
interested in pursuing any of the school's courses of
study, including full-time, part-time, semester,
summer and winter programs.
All applications will be reviewed anonymously by the
Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies Scholarship
Committee.
Completed applications must be submitted to the Scholarship Committee together
with the online application form, letters of
recommendation, as well as 2 photographs.
